Caddyshack, 1980 (dir. Harold Ramis)

The original script had much more emphasis on the scholarship and “Danny” character.  Initially, Murray, Chase, and Dangerfield were to be cameo appearances but their improvising skills caused their roles to be expanded.  THANK GOD!

The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, 2004 (dir. Wes Anderson)

This movie really knows how to use a widescreen!  Not since Kubrick has the entire frame been used so well.  Also like Kubrick, the director Wes Anderson knows how to let a moment breath without rushing it.  This defines his work and also may alienate some of the modern audience raised on rapid fire editing.
